Scheduling Note: The first three shifts occur during Artist Booth Setup. During this time, a Hindustani interpreter volunteer will be stationed near the Production Office at the center of the Market to interpret for Hindi-speaking artists as they request rental equipment, handyperson support, and booth supplies.
If you are interested in supporting artists in their booths during setup, you can register as an Artist Assistant. You can find the link to the Thursday Artist Assistant volunteer shifts here.
The evening shift occurs during IFAM's Opening Night Celebration. Volunteers will need to wear their volunteer t-shirts in order to enter the Market footprint.
Team Note:
Each artist may have unique needs and language abilities. Interpreter volunteers should do their best to support those individual needs.
Keep in mind: These shifts are subject to change. As artists are still waiting to receive their visas and finalize travel plans, interpreter requests may be updated in the coming months. If you have signed up, we will reach out and update you with any changes.
Update: Thanks to our wonderful community, the need for this volunteer shift is currently met. If you are interested in volunteering as a Hindustani Interpreter, we are still seeking support on this team Friday through Sunday. Here is a link to available opportunities.
