Who We Are
Ongoing Need: In our vibrant global community, the role of Russian language interpreters is indispensable. You'll be instrumental in facilitating communication during pop-up shops throughout the year, translating documents, and ensuring accessibility of information for artists during informational sessions and Q+As leading up to Market.
During Market Week: As an interpreter, your presence is vital in bringing the rich tapestry of cultures to life. From Artist Conference training sessions to Artist Demonstrations, you'll bridge language barriers, enabling artists to eloquently share their stories and impart insights about their work and culture. In the bustling atmosphere of Market, you'll continue to be a guiding voice, facilitating communication in artists' booths and ensuring their voices are heard loud and clear. Join us in celebrating diversity and fostering understanding through the power of language interpretation.
What We Do
- Provide translation to artists and interpret information to staff in artist responses.
- Assist in translating IFAM documents to Russian and/ or Ukrainian for artist accessibility needs.
- Attend Market and work at the booth(s) that have identified a need for Russian or Ukrainian interpretation.
TEAM NOTE: This team works closely with artists AND fellow volunteer teams during Market, please be kind and respectful to all as we work together to make this year's Market incredible!
