Shifts From: International Folk Art Market

This shift takes place on the first day of artist booth set up. Artist Assistant volunteers will assist as artists transport their artwork to their booths, inventory their products, organize their booth supplies and rental items, and begin setting up merchandise displays. 

TEAM NOTE: Each artist has unique needs; volunteers should do their best to support those needs. Some volunteers may be asked to walk and carry items to and from artists booths. Volunteers should be able to stand for long periods of time. Volunteers are NOT required to have any foreign language skills, but beginner/conversational level language skills may be helpful.

SCHEDULING NOTE: Since this is the first shift of booth set up, volunteers will be asked to meet artists at the load in areas near the two Market entrances instead of at the booths so that they can assist artists as they transport their artwork to their booths.

The earlier 3 shifts on Thursday take place during the second day of artist booth set up. Artist Assistant volunteers will assist as artists inventory their artwork, organize their booth supplies and rental items, and begin setting up product displays. The evening shift occurs during IFAM's Opening Night Celebration. Volunteers will need to wear their volunteer t-shirts in order to enter the Market footprint.

The Market closes at 4pm and artists begin packing up their work then. It is incredibly vital to have volunteer support as artists pack up their artwork and transfer it to the shuttle to the Sage Hotel. Please consider helping Sunday afternoon!

The Market closes at 4pm and artists begin packing up their work then. Volunteers during the Sunday afternoon shift will be asked to assist artists in this process. This is a crucial role; please consider signing up to help on Sunday afternoon!

TEAM NOTE: This shift takes place on the last day of the Market, our Sunday free Community Day. Keep in mind that artists are able to discount their work during the afternoon Market session.
